Ministry of Health Allocates Hajj Health Budget for 2022 of IDR 327.67 billion

 JAKARTA. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has budgeted IDR 327.67 billion for the health needs of prospective Hajj pilgrims. This budget will later be used for the provision of health facilities and infrastructure for the pilgrims.



The Head of the Hajj Health Center (Kapus) of the Ministry of Health, Budi Sylvana, explained that the details of the health budget allocation for Hajj pilgrims will later be used as; First, the provision of medicines and medical devices worth Rp 50 billion.

Second, the provision of meningitis vaccination of Rp. 30 billion. Third, the rental of the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) building, the largest one worth Rp 209 billion is budgeted for the assignment of Hajj health workers.

“Why is it big because this includes the officer's ticket that we bear including their accommodation. So Rp 209 billion is assumed to dispatch approximately 1800 health workers who will be dispatched to Arabia," added Budi in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the Committee VIII Commission VIII House of Representatives for the Cost of Hajj Organizing Fees (BPIH) at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday ( 22/3).

Budi explained that 179 items of medicine will be used as medical supplies since embarkation, the departure process at the Hajj hostel, during flights, and health services while in Saudi Arabia. "The medicines provided include medicines for the needs of the KKHI sectors," he added

Furthermore, he added, the fulfilment of the hajj meningitis vaccination for pilgrims has been prepared and distributed through the provincial health office. And prospective pilgrims who have been vaccinated will get an International certificate of vaccination (ICV) which is legalized by the Port Health Office (KKP).

Furthermore, the provision of KKHI as a health facility for pilgrims, while the existing health services at KKHI are in the form of emergency services, inpatient care, ICU, dental clinic services, laboratories, specialist services, pharmaceutical services and referral services.

"And all services at KKHI are free of charge, free for Indonesian pilgrims,"   added the Head of the Hajj Health Center (Kemenkes)

Then said Budi, the assignment of health workers will be 1,832 hajj health workers consisting of 1,521 health workers in groups.

Each group is sent by 3 health workers, namely 1 doctor and 3 nurses. Meanwhile, 311 health workers, general practitioners, dentists, nurses and pharmacists will be assigned to PPIH.
